Robert Moser’s Biography

Robert has been an amateur photographer for over thirty five years. He bought his first camera when he was attending Dalhousie University and continues to purchase the latest new equipment. Robert’s hobby as a photographer has turned into his passion.

Robert belongs to the Truro Image Makers Photography Club and has won numerous awards in their photo contests over the past twelve years. He also won first place in the animal category competition for the NS Photo Guild, twice. He is a member of the Nova Scotia Photo Guild, the Seacoast Trail Arts Association and the Nova Scotia Bird Society.

He has taken photography workshops with Maurice Henry, Colin Campbell, Sue Siri, Len Wagg, Eric Boutilier Brown, Dale Wilson and Steven Scott Patterson. Also, Robert teaches photography workshops for Parks and Recreation in Sheet Harbour and at Liscomb Lodge. In the fall of 2017 he will be teaching a photography workshop related to the 100 Wild Islands.

In the past, Robert has taken pictures for weddings, family portraits, and community events. He was a photographer for SNAP Dartmouth for several years. He continues to work as a freelance photographer and some of his clients include the Sheet Harbour Port Authority, Dufferin Mines, Tangier Lobster and the Nova Scotia Power Ltd.

His work may be found at Liscomb Lodge and Norse Cove, East Ship Harbour and the Five Island Bazaar. Robert also attends the Seacoast Trail Arts Exhibition and Sale in Sheet Harbour, NS, the Farmer’s and Crafter’s Market in Sheet Harbour, the Festive Craft Market, Bible Hill, NS, the Festival of Trees Craft Fair, Middle Musquodoboit, NS and the Sherbrooke Old Fashioned Christmas. Previously his work has been shown at The Old School Gallery, Musquodoboit Harbour, The Pictou Market, the Oceanside Gallery in Pictou, the Old Bickerton Lighthouse, the Bayside Craft Cabin and more. His work can be found in private collections in Canada, the United States, Europe and New Zealand.

Robert’s preference is nature and wildlife photography. He continues to travel in Canada and the United States to find landscape, seascape and wildlife places and animals to photograph.
